Patent-In is a legacy desktop application developed by CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation) to help patent applicants prepare nucleotide and amino acid sequence listings for submission. It guides users through a structured workflow to format DNA, RNA, and protein sequences and their annotations in compliance with the former WIPO ST.25 standard and related USPTO requirements. The software includes built-in validation to catch common formatting and compliance issues and exports properly structured sequence listings for electronic filing. Since July 1, 2022, the WIPO ST.26 standard has replaced ST.25 for new applications and WIPO Sequence is now the recommended tool. Patent-In remains useful for managing legacy filings, continuations, and amendments that still rely on ST.25-compliant listings.

Patent-In is developed by CSC. The most popular version of this product among our users is 3.5. The name of the program executable file is CWPI.exe. Works with prj file type.
